Praised for his command of the stage and vocal refinement, Canadian-Australian baritone Jeremy Dubé returns to Opera Australia after performing in Canada with Calgary Opera. He is currently performing the roles of Ramiro and Don Magnifico/ The King in the Opera Australia New South Wales Schools Tour.
With Calgary Opera, Jeremy performed the roles of Baron Douphol in La Traviata, Cascada in The Merry Widow, L’Horloge Comtoise and Le Chat in L’Enfant et les Sortilège. During the 2020 season, he workshopped and performed the role of Igor Gouzenko in John Estacio’s The Cipher Clerk, as well as Dimitri in Vastation by Samy Moussa.
Other roles include Figaro and Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville – New South Wales Schools Tour 2020, Figaro in The Barber of Seville – Victoria Schools Tour 2019 (Opera Australia), Leporello in Don Giovanni, Les Gendarme in Les mamelles de Tirésias, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Mercurio in La Calisto, Hymen and Winter in Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen (Sydney Conservatorium of Music), and Elder Ott in Susannah, (Opera New England).
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance) as well as a Master of Music Studies (Opera Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music – University of Sydney.
